Mannequin Rig & Animation

Exercise rigging and animating a simple Mannequin character (X Bot from Mixamo) in Blender. The rig is built with FK/IK-switches and a mechanism to seperate head/ neck rotation.

Arm and head rotation isolation disabled.
Arm and head rotation isolation set to 100%.

Animation Sequence Test in Unreal Engine

In this video I retargeted some motioncaptured animations from RADiCAL motioncapture system to my Rig. I also imported the walk animation from Blender and applied bone matching in the Sequencer to create smotth transitions. For the boxing animation I used Speed planting to make the feet staying more rooted on the floor. Additional some adjustments and clean ups had to be made were body parts overlapped.
